Reddit has seen a significant change in user engagement, shifting from a period where most visitors were logged-in loyal users to now having the majority as logged-out visitors. After maintaining a loyal user base for seven consecutive quarters from 2022 to 2023, recent trends show a decline in daily active users from logged-in accounts. Although CEO Steve Huffman highlighted growth from logged-out users following the company's IPO, recent quarterly results have disappointed investors, leading to a drop in stock value. Despite these challenges, Huffman remains optimistic about Reddit's content-driven model thriving in an AI-dominated landscape.
