On June 26, 2024, a pregnant woman in Mainland China got infected with Listeria bacteria after drinking 'opened milk in the refrigerator.' Despite feeling better after treatment, she soon experienced premature membrane rupture, leading to an emergency C-section, and the newborn suffered from septic shock due to Listeria infection.
