SoftBank Group founder Son Ye expressed regret at the shareholders' meeting for selling Nvidia shares in 2019, saying that if he hadn't sold them, he could have earned an additional $150 billion today. SoftBank sold their 4.9% stake in Nvidia for $3.3 billion. However, if they had held onto the shares, they would be worth $160 billion today. Son Ye also revealed a failed attempt to acquire Nvidia after buying Arm in 2016, lamenting over the missed opportunities and calling it 'the big fish that got away'. Nvidia has not responded to the remarks.
