Premium electric vehicle manufacturer BeyonCa, supported by Renault and Dongfeng Motor, announces plans to establish a final assembly plant and international headquarters in Hong Kong, aiming to develop the territory's first car brand. BeyonCa intends to make a breakthrough in Hong Kong's auto manufacturing industry by becoming the first premier international electric vehicle brand produced in Hong Kong. While the cars will be assembled in a government-owned industrial park in Hong Kong, most manufacturing processes like stamping, body welding, and painting will occur in mainland China. BeyonCa plans to start production in China in 2022 and build an overseas plant within five years to cater to markets in the Middle East, ASEAN countries, and Europe, with a target of selling 100,000 EVs annually and offering three to five models by a few years after 2025.
