A well-known Taiwanese mountaineer, Zhang Yuanzhi, tragically passed away at the age of 36 after falling off a cliff while climbing Mont Blanc in France. His mother and wife confirmed the news through a statement, with reports indicating that Zhang slipped on snow while climbing the Frendo peak of Mont Blanc and fell 250 meters into a deep ravine. Zhang, also known as 'Bashanko', had set various mountaineering records, including successful ascents using oxygen. The mountain where the incident occurred, Mont Blanc, is the highest peak in the Alps and known for its challenging climbing conditions. Zhang's death has shocked the climbing community in Taiwan and beyond.
