In China, a thriving repair industry has emerged for Nvidia's banned AI chipsets, particularly the H100 and A100 GPUs, amid surging demand and continued smuggling of these products into the country. Repair firms are meeting the challenges presented by U.S. restrictions, with companies now fixing hundreds of Nvidia chips per month, despite the lack of official repair support from Nvidia itself. High failure rates of these chips, due to extensive use, and the deep-seated preference for the advanced H100 over newer alternatives contribute to this growing market.
