A residential house near No. 500 Zhongxing Road in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, caught fire unexpectedly at 12:06 am today. The Longtan Branch of the Taoyuan City Fire Department swiftly responded with 60 firefighters, 19 fire trucks, and 3 ambulances under the command of Battalion Chief Chen Liting. The fire, which broke out on the first floor of a 3-storey building, was extinguished by 12:50 am without any hazardous materials present. Eight conscious individuals were rescued from the second and third floors, with five of them sent for precautionary medical checks. Property losses are initially estimated at 30,000 yuan, and the exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
