In Chiayi County's Jhuci Creek on the evening of Friday, June 7, a man wearing a red shirt got trapped on a large rock amidst fast-flowing water. Due to heavy rainfall in the mountainous area, the 32-year-old angler found himself stranded on the rock. The Chiayi County Fire Department received the report at 6:17 p.m. and promptly dispatched six fire squads for rescue. Using ropes and water-crossing techniques, the firefighters managed to bring the man safely ashore. Although he refused medical assistance, the rescue serves as a reminder to stay away from dangerous river areas and streams during the rainy season to prevent accidents.
