A recent study by TrendForce indicates that after experiencing a low capacity utilization in the lithium battery industry chain in the first quarter of 2024, market demand has rebounded since March, leading to a rise in lithium battery production and prices by April. While May saw stable battery demand and prices, there is an expected short-term decline in battery material procurement demand in June. The study also forecasts that lithium prices may face downward pressure, with lithium and energy storage battery material costs weakening by the end of the second quarter, resulting in stable to slightly lower battery prices.
