Residents Confront Pet Store Over Noise and Smell Issues

Reported 9 months ago

In New Taipei City, residents in Banqiao are fed up with being woken up by dog barking and enduring foul smells every day. They gathered at the neighborhood chief's office to protest and demand that the pet store move out to restore a better living environment. Despite the store owner's claims of compliance with regulations, noise levels sometimes reached over 70 decibels. Due to the ongoing disturbances, the landlord decided not to renew the lease, prompting the pet store to plan its relocation by the end of September.
