Residents of Binjiang accuse Ko and Jiang of 'burglarizing the city government's house,' Ko Wen-je: Land acquisition is land acquisition!

Reported 8 months ago

In order to build the Binjiang Water Resources Recycling Center, the Taipei City government has aggressively acquired land, leading to local residents forming a self-help group to resist and accusing the chairman of the People's Party, former Taipei mayor Ko Wen-je, and Taipei mayor Chiang Wan-an of being 'more despicable than scam groups.' In response, Ko Wen-je stated that land acquisition is indeed land acquisition, otherwise how can it be called forced acquisition. Ko attended a meeting at the People's Party legislative caucus office this morning and emphasized the proper procedures involved in land acquisition, rejecting claims of forced acquisition. Ko did not directly address discussions with Deputy Party Leader Huang Shanshan on financial planning laws and anticipated conflicts in the upcoming parliament session regarding the 'Budget Reconciliation Act.'
