During a busy lunchtime at a Taiwanese restaurant in Hengchun, Pingtung, a child began choking on a squid roll. The restaurant owner, who had learned the Heimlich maneuver in the past, quickly came to the rescue and successfully dislodged the food from the child's throat. The incident was captured on surveillance camera, and the entire restaurant applauded the owner's life-saving actions. This was the first time he had used the technique he learned in a hotel training, and he not only saved the child's life but also felt proud of his actions.
