Retired Major General Yu Beichen recently stated on a program that the People's Liberation Army does not have Google Maps and would get lost if they were to attack Taiwan; however, an internet celebrity later tested using Chinese navigation apps like Baidu and Amap, finding that they could successfully navigate even without Google. Military experts explained that the military utilizes satellite-based maps, which do not require internet connectivity for use.
