Despite being granted a suspended sentence in the first trial and ordered to pay 300,000 to 600,000 NT dollars for public treasury, the second trial increased the amount to 1.5 to 3 million NT dollars each. The Supreme Court rejected the prosecution's appeal, finalizing the case. Both officers were found guilty of receiving 1.1 million NT dollars in unlawful gains and were sentenced to pay a multiplied amount to the national treasury.
