According to the Police News, on June 13th, during a session in the Foreign and National Defense Committee, legislator Huang Ren questioned the Veterans Affairs Council Chairman Yan Defa twice. Through persistent efforts and inquiries, legislator Huang Ren successfully advocated for retired veterans with service-earned pensions to receive full medical subsidies for treatment at council-affiliated institutions. The council has agreed to this arrangement, and the relevant provisions have been included in the Executive Yuan's legislative amendment proposal. If the amendment process proceeds smoothly, it could be fully implemented by the end of the year, benefiting a significant number of retired veterans seeking medical care each year.
