Rio Tinto has restructured its operations into three business units: Iron Ore, Aluminium & Lithium, and Copper, aiming to streamline its operations. Matthew Holcz has been named head of the new iron ore division, combining Western Australian and Canadian operations, while Jérôme Pécresse will lead the Aluminium & Lithium unit and Katie Jackson continues to oversee Copper. The company is also reviewing its Borates and Iron & Titanium businesses due to weak market conditions, as Sinead Kaufman prepares to leave after nearly 30 years.
