According to statistics from Taiwan's Ministry of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the number of delivery drivers in Taiwan has tripled, with 40% being university students, following a trend seen in Mainland China where the once vast income gap between blue-collar and white-collar workers is closing. Dubbed as 'New Blue-Collar Workers,' these individuals prefer flexible working hours and being paid based on workload, with a significant portion being full-time employees in their 20s. The monthly average income for blue-collar workers in Mainland China ranges between 5,000 to 8,000 RMB, with professions like postpartum caregivers, truck drivers, and food delivery personnel earning relatively more. The rising income for blue-collar workers marks a new trend in China, where the salary gap between blue-collar and white-collar workers continues to decrease, highlighting a shift in the younger generation's job preferences influenced by lifestyle habits and values.
