Adverse weather conditions, including a drought followed by heavy rainfall, are significantly impacting coffee production in Vietnam, a major global supplier of robusta coffee. As a result, the harvest is expected to decrease by 10-15%, exacerbating the current surge in coffee prices which have more than doubled over the past year. This climatic instability, coupled with a long-term decline in coffee acreage as farmers shift to other crops, indicates that consumers can expect high coffee prices to persist.
