As the COVID-19 pandemic worsens, there has been a recent surge in the purchase of epidemic prevention supplies in Taiwan, with the top five products being masks, rapid test kits, alcohol, vitamin C, and throat lozenges. Demand for masks has increased by 50%, and people are now less concerned about designs and more focused on functionality. Alcohol sales have increased by 40%, with a shift from small to large packaging. Free rapid test kits that used to be unpopular are now in high demand. Sales of throat lozenges have also increased by about 20%, reflecting the health concerns of the public during the pandemic.
