Rising Number of 5A Students in Hsinchu Raises Concern of Fierce Competition for Top High Schools

Reported about 1 year ago

The number of 5A students in Hsinchu's college entrance exam has reached a new high of 1750, with the 5A percentage in Hsinchu County at 13% and even higher at 17% in Hsinchu City, surpassing the national average of 9%. This increase, attributed to the 'Hsinchu Science Park Effect,' has raised concerns among parents as students with top scores are finding it increasingly difficult to secure admission into their desired schools. The intense competition has led many to seek education opportunities outside Hsinchu.
