According to Easy Tour, overseas travel during this year's Dragon Boat Festival has increased by 15%, while domestic travel has decreased by 2-3%. Many travelers are opting for 5-day overseas group tours to destinations like Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia due to the short holiday period. Conversely, Taiwan's Tourism Bureau reports a 14% decrease in hotel bookings compared to last year, with Hualien severely impacted by low booking rates. The bureau is implementing promotions to boost confidence and booking rates in Hualien, while other cities like Miaoli, Penghu, and Taipei have seen over 50% booking rates.
