RBC BlueBay's chief investment officer, Mark Dowding, warns that the Federal Reserve may need to raise interest rates next year due to the inflationary policies of U.S. presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Dowding believes that if Trump is elected and implements more inflationary measures, the Fed might have to consider a hike rather than cuts. He anticipates a rise in U.S. breakeven rates and a steepened Treasury curve as investors adjust to the inflation outlook.
