According to a report by The Trace, incidents of gun violence due to road rage have rapidly increased in the United States, with statistics from 2023 showing one person being shot and killed every 18 hours as a result of road rage incidents. The state with the highest number of incidents is Georgia, followed by Texas, Florida, California, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. Experts attribute the rise in road rage to factors such as poor impulse control of aggressive drivers and the presence of firearms.
