In Taipei, a man named Chen, unhappy about a road rage incident with another man named Wu, contacted his friends to confront Wu at his home. They proceeded to brutally attack Wu with a machete, causing severe injuries including multiple tendon and nerve ruptures, as well as shattered bones. Chen and his accomplices were convicted of causing grievous harm and sentenced to prison terms, with the main perpetrator Chen receiving 5 years and 8 months. The court emphasized that disputes should be resolved peacefully, condemning the extreme violence that resulted in irreparable damage to the victim.
