Roadrunner, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier, has been acquired by a private equity group led by its CEO, Chris Jamroz, and investor Ted Kellner. Prospero Staff Capital now holds a majority stake, replacing Elliott Investment Management. The new ownership aims to use fresh capital for growth initiatives and acquisitions, positioning Roadrunner as a premium long-haul carrier with a focus on metro-to-metro shipments. This change comes after Roadrunner's efforts to stabilize and streamline its operations following past struggles.
