Robot Concept Stocks Tumbled! Foreign Investors Grab Shares, Stock Price Plummets 8% Kun Ying Sold Out, UMC Sells 30,000 Shares but Remains Flat

On July 9, 2024, the Taiwan stock market closed with the weighted index up 21.93 points at 23,900.08, a 0.09% increase. Foreign investors bought NT$176.37 billion and sold NT$192.23 billion, resulting in a net selling of NT$15.858 billion. Despite foreign investors buying over 30,000 shares, United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) remained unchanged, while Kun Ying, a robot concept stock, which had recently seen a 56.09% surge, unexpectedly plummeted 8.35% to NT$50.5 after being sold out by foreign investors.
