Reports suggest the Houston Rockets are aiming to upgrade their team's strength through trades despite their young player roster. Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the Rockets acquired the Phoenix Suns' draft rights in hopes of trading for Suns star Kevin Durant, although the Suns rejected the offer wanting to compete with their current lineup. The Rockets' possession of the Suns' draft picks may give them leverage in pursuing Devin Booker in the future. Even if unable to trade for Durant or Booker, the Rockets plan to continue seeking new trade targets to enhance their team strength, with players like Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and Jeff Green possibly on the trading block.
