During the 2024 Taipei International Dragon Boat Championship, Taipei Mayor Jiang Wanan led the city government officials to participate in the event. Jiang rolled up his sleeves, expressing his hope to maintain good results after last year's experience. When asked about his previous statement that dragon boat racing could help with pregnancy, Jiang jokingly denied saying such a thing. With fierce competition and limited practice time, Jiang emphasized the importance of consistent paddling movements this year for a good outcome in the competition.
