Ruan Jing Tian attended his mother's funeral dressed in black, shedding tears non-stop. His mother passed away last month at the age of 70. Ruan Jing Tian won the Best Actor award from the Taiwan Film Critic Association on the same day of his mother's passing but did not attend the ceremony due to personal reasons. After a month of low-key preparations in Taichung, Ruan Jing Tian bid farewell to his mother at the funeral today, and later expressed gratitude through social media. In an Instagram story, he thanked everyone and mentioned how his mother had turned into a butterfly, as a butterfly fluttered around the venue, symbolizing a traditional belief of a departed loved one's presence.
