Rumble, a video sharing platform, has announced a strategic investment of $775 million from the blockchain-based company Tether. Following the news, Rumble's shares surged by 43.7%. The investment will allow Tether a minority stake in the company, while Rumble's CEO, Chris Pavlovski, retains his controlling interest. Part of the funds will be used for a self-tender offer on 70 million shares, with the transaction expected to close by Q1 2025.
