Dubbed as the 'Hermès of Egg Yolk Pastry' in the pastry world, Chen Yaoxun's 'Red Soil Egg Yolk Pastry' from Yoshi Bakery opened pre-orders for the Mid-Autumn Festival on July 2 at 12:30 pm, selling each box for NT$980 with a limit of 5 boxes per person. The pastries sold out within 1 minute, leading to resellers on Facebook charging prices ranging from NT$1,500 to NT$2,500. In response, the Taipei City Government's Legal Affairs Bureau warned the public against unofficial channels, emphasizing the lack of transaction security, refund mechanisms, and the risk of falling victim to fraud, urging people not to shop via Facebook.
