Four Russian Navy ships arrived in Cuba, just over 100 kilometers from Florida in the Caribbean Sea, resembling a direct move into the US's backyard. It is seen as Russian President Putin's response to President Biden's approval for Ukraine to use US weapons to attack Russia's territory. The deployment includes advanced patrol ship Admiral Gorshkov which can carry hypersonic 'Zircon' missiles, and a nuclear-powered submarine Kazan. Although the ships are not carrying nuclear weapons, their arrival has drawn attention due to recent events and the historical alliance between Cuba and Russia.
