Safran has finalized its acquisition of the flight control and actuation business from Collins Aerospace, expected to generate approximately $50 million in annual cost synergies by 2028. The business, which earned about $1.55 billion in revenue in 2024, will be integrated into Safran's electronics and defense sector starting August 1. Safran's CEO, Olivier Andries, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition for strengthening their capabilities in mission-critical flight control functions.
