SAIC Volkswagen has stated that it is normal and necessary to adjust its production base in response to market trends, amidst reports of a potential closure of its Nanjing plant. While speculation arose that the plant would shut down due to VW's plans to cease production at one of its combustion engine facilities in China, the company reaffirmed that production continues normally and that future product rollouts will necessitate adjustments.
