Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns the public against phishing emails impersonating the Consular Affairs Bureau's 'Passport Photo Upload System' confirmation appointment emails. The Ministry advises to verify recent passport-related transactions, avoid clicking on email links, refrain from entering personal information like ID numbers, and contact the 165 Fraud Prevention Hotline if in doubt. The Consular Affairs Bureau has received reports of fraudulent emails attempting to deceive recipients into providing personal information or downloading malicious software.
