School Cooperative Accused of Not Giving Change! School to Re-Issue Vouchers

Reported 8 months ago

On June 18, 2024, New Taipei City councilor Dai Weishan received complaints from parents that a cooperative at an elementary school in Zhonghe not only sold high-calorie foods like candy and hot dogs but also issued vouchers that could not be changed back, for example, exchanging two 10-dollar vouchers for a 20-dollar item without getting the extra 5 dollars back. It was suspected that money from the students (referred to as 'A students') was involved. In response, the school will hold the outsourcing company accountable for violating regulations and has requested the cooperative to reissue exchange vouchers to the students.
