In Mindera High School in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, faced with declining student population and poor management, the school had only 18 students left. However, the boys' basketball team with just 6 players managed to defeat strong opponents from other high schools in the prefecture and advanced to the national tournament in August. Despite the school's financial constraints preventing funding for the team's travel expenses, a fundraising campaign raised over 6 million yen (approximately 122,000 New Taiwan Dollars), allowing the players to fulfill their dream of competing in the national tournament in their 'last summer'.
