Under the influence of the Pacific high pressure, temperatures are expected to soar to 36 degrees Celsius in the coming days, with widespread heat and heavy afternoon thunderstorms forecasted for Taiwan. The Central Weather Bureau has issued high-temperature warnings for 12 cities and counties, with Yunlin County on red alert as temperatures are expected to exceed 38 degrees for three consecutive days. Rainfall is more likely in mountainous areas and the northern regions. The weather will gradually improve next week with sunny and stable conditions by July 1.
