The SEC has postponed its decision on Bitwise Asset Management's plan to convert the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund into an ETF, extending the deadline from Jan. 17 to March 3, 2025. This extension allows the SEC additional time to evaluate the proposed changes. The Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund includes various cryptocurrencies and aims to provide market cap-weighted exposure. Similarly, Osprey Funds plans to convert its Bitcoin Trust into an ETF after a prior purchase agreement with Bitwise fell through due to regulatory issues.
