On June 13, 2024, the Department of Justice recommended 4 candidates to the Review Commission, with 4 potential candidates including Wang Chun-li. The Review Commission, consisting of 9 voting members, issued a joint announcement in the evening following a meeting earlier today to discuss 9 candidates for the role of prosecutor. The candidates recommended for the vacancies at Taipei District Prosecutors Office and Kaohsiung High Prosecutors Office are: Chang Hung-mou, Director Prosecutor of Taichung High Prosecutors Office (26); Huang Yu-yuan, Director of Administration at the Ministry of Justice's Legal Execution Agency (28); Wang Chun-li, Director Prosecutor of Taipei High Prosecutors Office (29); and Cheng Hsin-hung, Director Prosecutor of Taipei High Prosecutors Office (31). In addition, the voting members had opinions on the list of recommendations to renew special examiners at the High Prosecutors Office, suggesting specific criteria be established and that reviews be conducted annually based on operational needs. This marks a step in the Department of Justice's reform of prosecutorial personnel.
