Senvion Energy's subsidiary, Powerchina Marine Engineering's 'Hercules,' a 4,000-ton heavy lift ship, has arrived in Taiwan to join Taipower's offshore phase II maritime project. The ship will commence offshore wind farm construction, involving underwater piling, jacket foundation installation, turbine blade, and tower installation. This marks a significant milestone and showcases Taiwan's first domestically contracted offshore wind farm, set to provide 294.5MW capacity, equivalent to powering approximately 240,000 households annually and reducing carbon emissions by about 500,000 tons per year.
