According to Yahoo News, the Central Weather Bureau issued special alerts for heavy rain, indicating the vigorous development of convective cloud systems with the possibility of short-term intense rainfall. There is a chance of localized heavy rains or torrential rains in the mountainous areas of Nantou, as well as in Greater Taipei, Nantou, Taoyuan, Taichung, and Yilan areas. Residents are advised to be cautious of lightning and strong gusts. The Water Resources Agency has issued a Level 2 flood alert for Puli Township in Nantou County. The Central Weather Bureau also issued disaster prevention alerts for the Toubiankeng Creek in Taichung City, warning of potential heavy rains until 7:37 p.m. Local time. Additionally, the Bureau has issued high-temperature information, with Taimali in Taitung County reaching the highest temperature of 39.3 degrees Celsius as of around 3 p.m. The areas under torrential rain alert include Nantou County, while those under heavy rain alert include Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Keelung City, Taichung City, and Yilan County.
