Taipei experienced a heavy rainfall yesterday, reaching up to 79 millimeters within 3 hours. Expert Lin De-en from National Taiwan University advised to be cautious of short-lived thunderstorms or rain showers in the afternoon, as the rainfall duration may be less than 1 hour but with significant and concentrated downpours. The Central Weather Bureau forecasted scattered afternoon thunderstorms in northern and central areas today, and briefly mentioned the following days' hot weather with temperatures rising up to 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, especially in the western regions where caution is advised for heat-related issues.
