According to a report by Chiang Jirong at 4:15 am on June 8, 2024, four counties, including Changhua, Nantou, Yunlin, and Chiayi, experienced severe thunderstorms for 1 hour, with alerts issued until 5:00 pm. The Central Weather Bureau also warned of heavy rainfall in various regions due to convective cloud systems, advising caution against lightning, strong gusts, landslides, and rockfalls. The bureau mentioned possible short-term showers and thunderstorms in different areas for today and tomorrow, with reduced visibility expected in Matsu and Kinmen islands.
