TVBS News on June 28, 2024, in Mainland China's Shanghai Disneyland, visitors have complained about a foul odor emanating from the safety belts of one amusement ride, with the smell even transferring to their hands, causing discomfort and disgust. As the Shanghai area experiences humid and hot weather during the rainy season, the non-woven fabric material of the safety belts may be the cause. Visitors jokingly suggest wearing gloves when using the facility, as the smell may linger for days despite washing hands multiple times.
