Notably, Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office Director Zhong Xiaomin accompanied Hu Ge to Taiwan and was present at Taipei Songshan Airport on the same day. The Mainland Affairs Council confirmed that Hu Ge's visit was approved for participating in film and television exchange activities, while Taipei Mayor Ke Wanan aims to have Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng attend the upcoming Twin Cities Forum in Taipei, potentially in July or August, with negotiations reportedly underway. The Taipei City government assures that the event will be conducted according to laws and regulations, emphasizing equality, dignity, goodwill, and mutual benefit.
