She clarified on social media that there were no inappropriate incidents during the audition and denied any discomfort. Shao Yuwei stressed that the audition was conducted professionally, and she was grateful for the opportunities in her past work. The controversy arose from a misunderstanding as the movie in question was filmed before she even knew Wu Kangren, who she met during a different project.
