Shell has agreed to purchase Singaporean LNG company Pavilion Energy from Temasek, a move that will strengthen its position in the LNG market. The deal, worth hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars, will provide Shell access to gas markets in Europe and Singapore, along with LNG supply contracts and regasification capacities. This acquisition aligns with Shell's growth ambitions in the LNG sector, expecting a significant increase in global demand for LNG by 2040.
