In a report by CTi News on June 8, 2024, it was highlighted that for healthy kidneys, one should avoid foods high in oil, sugar, salt, calories, processed foods, heavy metals, plasticizers, and other harmful substances. Renowned nephrologist Hong Yongxiang shared a case of a primary school student who ate a chicken cutlet daily after school, severely damaging kidney function and requiring dialysis at age 12. Hong emphasized the importance of kidney health and warned against consuming fried chicken cutlets as they contain carcinogenic substances due to high calorie content and reused cooking oil, recommending the public to avoid such foods along with other kidney-damaging options like stuffed foods, triple combos rice, Japanese ramen, and pearl milk tea.
