A 44-year-old man surnamed Zeng in Luzhou, New Taipei City, discovered a suspected unexploded ordnance while dismantling an old staircase in his ancestral home on June 16. He immediately alerted the police, who then contacted the military bomb disposal unit. The ordnance, identified as a military-owned '120mm Illuminating Artillery Shell,' was safely disposed of by the military in the evening. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the reason for its presence in the residential area is still under investigation.
